Yes, yes, yes…I know. It’s pre-season. It’s against lower league opponents, who haven’t truly been up to much.
There is no guarantee that form in front of goal in pre-season transfers over to the competitive stuff once it begins. Heck, remember that summer when Nicolas Anelka and Markus Rosenberg dismantled all defences in front of them for fun? We all know how that panned out.
All of those caveats acknowledged and set aside, it is nice to see Albion’s front-line, still in its Championship infancy, settle down and find the net this pre-season. Aune Heggebø has been at the club 12 months and is already the club’s longest-serving centre forward.
