James Morrison dismissed the notion that there was any substance in rumours linking Albion winger Mikey Johnston with a move away from the club following his absence in the Baggies’ excellent win over Burnley on Sunday.
Johnston, who came off the bench in the EFL Cup win at Rotherham a fortnight ago but who was an unused substitute at Norwich last week, has been tenuously linked with a move to Derby County, who recently bought midfielder Alex Mowatt from Albion.
The Irish winger suffered a fractured ankle in a loss to Oxford United in February and missed the end of last season, before returning in pre-season - but clearly there remains an issue.
