James Morrison has reassured Albion supporters that hard work is continuing to be undertaken within the walls of the club’s training ground when it comes to player recruitment this summer.
Albion were swift in executing deals for Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Barney Stewart following the departures of a flurry of forwards, but aside from deputy goalkeeper Matt Ingram, under 21s defensive addition Carter Pinnington and the returning Conor Townsend on a free transfer, it has been all quiet on the surface.
Having moved on Jed Wallace, Karlan Grant, Josh Maja and Daryl Dike, and having lost loanee fan favourite Danny Imray, the squad is especially shallow right now in particular areas.
