I managed Brayann Pereira before his move to Albion - this is what he will bring

News of Nolan Galves’ season-ending knee injury during this international break was ill-timed indeed; the defender looked as though, in the weeks leading up to his fateful set-back at Derby County, that he was getting to grips with the Championship having only just made the decision to relocate from France.

All Albion can now do is support Galves through what is, for a footballer, an impossibly difficult period of rehabilitation which requires patience, discipline and endless hard work - and so soon after leaving his homeland. In the meantime, though, perhaps another door opens as one medically closes - for the time being, at least.
