Harry Whitwell has received high praise from the man who knows a thing or two about playing in the Championship. Robbie Savage gave Whitwell a chance to play senior football with National League side Forest Green last season - and has no doubts he is ready for the big step up to the second tier.

'If I was lucky enough to be a manager in the Championship, I would want Harry with me,' said Savage, who won promotion from the division as a player with Blues in 2002.

'He has so much potential across all the midfield positions, but right now I think he's best suited to playing as an eight, attacking and getting himself into the box.
