James Morrison hopes to have a couple of new faces to welcome into his Albion squad before Tuesday night’s 11pm transfer deadline - but he’ll be directing the majority of his concentration on the meeting with Charlton Athletic at The Hawthorns on Wednesday night.

The curtain is about to fall on the first full transfer window of Morrison’s managerial career, in which Albion have been particularly active having bid farewell to a host of first-team personnel at the end of last season.

This summer has been all about recruiting young, energetic talent from far and wide to cover all positions across the pitch, and the early signs in their Championship campaign have been encouraging.
