Albion are one of eight Championship clubs chasing the signature of Danny Imray from Crystal Palace.

Wrexham and Stoke are two of the other contenders for the defender who now looks certain to move away from Selhurst Park this summer.

The most likely outcome is another loan but there is a possibility Palace will sell and it is understood Imray is open to a permanent transfer.

Imray, who turns 23 later this month, sparkled at right-back for new Albion boss James Morrison when he engineered the club’s 10-game unbeaten run to save themselves from relegation to the third tier.
