Albion have re-signed a former player from Ipswich Town - but not the one many fans were hoping for.
Conor Townsend has returned to The Hawthorns on a one-year contract after playing over 200 games in six years for the club he first joined from Scunthorpe in 2018.
The 33 year-old left for Ipswich in August 2024 but played just 10 times across two seasons at Portman Road.
The man supporters want to see back at the Albion this season is goalkeeper Alex Palmer, who was sold to Ipswich for £5 million in February 2025.
