Forget Norwich away, Burnley at home and Newcastle away in the cup midweek. Middlesbrough away today in the Championship is Albion's biggest test so far - and not just because 'it's the next game,' as the cliche goes. In the space of just 14 days, James Morrison's new-look team has created a level of expectation. And it's that anticipation that will provide the best examination of whether his side has what it takes to launch a promotion campaign.

The expectancy exists as a result of two wins from two in the League and a good performance in defeat at St James' Park. But it's also present because of the way Morrison has got his team playing, with a hard-working attitude towards winning the ball back and a stylish fluidity when they have possession.
