You’d have a hard time explaining to neutral supporters that Albion have won once in a league fixture at Pride Park since the very end of World War I.
Since then, and aside from Rob Hulse’s winner here in 2003, there’ve been slim pickings. There was, for those who remember, the impossible two points dropped in 2009 when Simon Cox and Graham Dorrans thought they had sealed the points late on, only for Albion to be pegged back, but since then a feeling of dread drifts over those of a Baggies persuasion when a trip east to Derby appears on the horizon.
Now, though, we fret no more! The hoodoo is over - and with the most gutsy, determined and defiant display imaginable.
